Is it true that flangeback adjustment of the 16x zoom when used on the XL H1 is only possible if the 16x is the black version and that it isn't possible with the white/silver version?

I am not an expert on this, but it is my understanding that the flangeback adjustment, performed either automatically or manually, is performed by the XL H1 body and does not rely on any feature within the lens itself.

Why would you use the old white 16x servo on the H1? The primary reason several of us use the 16x manual is because it feels like a real broadcast lens as far as focusing goes. The 20x lens that came with the H1 is far superior to the old 16x lens from the XL1 days.

Also, I do believe you can set the flange back with the internal FB adjustment on those older lenses. But with the black 16x manual lens this is performed on the lens itself physically.

Peace?
