Don't know much about this new little portable RAID (other than it's expensive) but I'm wondering if we're on the road to seeing a possible solution to recording the uncompressed 60p output of the HD100/110.

Thoughts or comments? I'm just curious as finding a way to get that 60p output of the 100/110 seems to often be the "holy grail" for this camera.

So they took a computer that costs $4000, added a sticker that says "D2D recorder", and now they're selling it for $20,000? Must have been an expensive sticker.

Wake me up when they find a way to do it with small, portable batteries.

Other solutions include Thompson's Venom Pak which is a HD-SDI HD recorder designed for the Viper. Arri has their own "branded" version for the D20. I'm not sure if a Venom pak can be forced into 720P?

There is also Colorspace's new ICON recorder. We now have a dedicated forum here at dvinfo for this new product.
