View Full Version : 4GB Limit using QT.Animation w/ Millions+... what??

I need to be able to export my timelines using the QT.Animation Codec, and a lot of my work has alpha channels that need to use the color setting: Millions+ (as opposed to just 'millions' which does not allow alpha channels).

But what I am noticing is that you get an Export Error if you try to encode out anything bigger than 4 GB, which for my HDV work is about 30+ seconds, WHICH IS RIDICULOUS! This only occurs if you use the QT.Animation codec and have colors set to Millions+.

Is anyone else running into this problem?

As I mentioned on the other forum, I think you may be confused. Please explain why you need an Alpha channel when the purpose is to get a file that will be converted to something for the web from Sorenson Squeeze or Quicktime Pro.

Alpha channels are not necessary for web files (Flash excluded of course). You may be stressing out for no reason. Unless there is a reason I haven't seen in any of your posts so far.
