Hi:
I have a question.
When i had my sony FX1 I could leave the camera in full auto
but put the audio on manual
is this possible with 110U?
I'm just trying to learn evey aspect of this camera,
the auto audio is not very good. I did some shots last night in studio
when i went into post had bring up volume in post. the shoot was just a
practice run. I was testing my studio lighting. could it be the mic
thank you

HI
I know that the audio auto/manual switches are located in back of the LCD screen. But what i'm saying is that when the camera is in full auto and you
switch and change from auto audio to manual auto the audio is still in auto mode.Do you have to go to some where in the menu to make this work.
thank you
Joe

I think the solution is to not run the camera in the full auto mode. This camera is really meant to be run in manual mode. Even with the audio in auto mode the camera doesn't increase the levels like a consumer camera in auto, it simply monitors for clipping. If levels are low then it leaves them low. If you need more audio track, you need to run the camera in manual mode, run the audio in manual, and raise the audio levels accordingly.

The on camera mic is worthless about 95% of the time. If you plan on capturing anything other than general room noise, and it sounds like your are, you'll need to purchase a better microphone.
