Hello,
Is it possible to extract/separate the 4 digital audio tracks from a 4 channel 12 bit/channel recording utilizing NLE software or any other way for that matter? I realize this can be done through the analog/RCA outputs with various adjustments, but what about maintaing the true digital signal through the 1394?
Thanks,
Phil

Thanks Don,
I failed to mention that unfortunately I have a PC. If necessary I guess I can at least utilize a Mac to extract the audio, and continue the rest of the editing on a PC?
Thanks again,
Phil

You can use a program called Scenelyzer (http://www.scenalyzer.com/) to capture 4 channel audio. It is a relatively inexpensive (US$33) app and one that is a necessary addition to any PC editiors arsenal of utilities.
