John Markertek.com PRODUCT NUMBER DELV-G-1080-1 Joe Lawry April 7th, 2007, 10:05 PM http://thej-rod.com/ edit:opps you've got an fx1. hmm the j rod might not work. Giroud Francois April 8th, 2007, 03:45 AM the side of the FX1 handle has the same screws as the Z1. they just removed the mic holder and put a plastic cover. you can drill the plastic cover , add 2 screws to allow to fix a new support. ideally you could find a Z1 mic holder from an broken one. unfurtunately Sony is not selling the full assembly. WOW, talk about on time !! I just e-mailed my local DV guy and asked him this. I shot alot at Long Beach this past weekend with a bracket and had all 3 on top and it was crazy working thru crowds etc, not to mention doing interviews inside of cars. I had wanted to do this, but now that you told me I am going to do this. Next will be finding a battery pack that has a flat back so I can mount the Sennheiser Lav' to the back and not need anything other than the single mount. Clean look will work best it seems. Mercy !! Myles Myles Williams April 16th, 2007, 09:46 PM maybe this would work also..if I Cant find a broken Z1 mic holder... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/items/49117.jpg mw Adam Gold April 17th, 2007, 12:54 PM Here's a pretty extensive thread on how to mount the Z1 assembly to an FX1... but it's not cheap. http://www.sonyhdvinfo.com/showthread.php?t=8501 Myles Williams April 21st, 2007, 01:21 AM Thanks Adam. Found all of it and should have it here by next week. THis forum rocks !! Myles Brian Rhodes April 23rd, 2007, 09:34 AM Myles I Have four e custom made spacers for the FX1. The mic holder can be ordered from Sony or http://www.partstore.com/. Sony does not sell the spacer you would have to buy the whole handle assembly to get it. Take a look at the PDF file it shows how the spacer is installed. Myles Williams April 26th, 2007, 06:19 PM Done deal and enjoying not using the bracket on top of the rig. http://www.rcephotos.com/photos/albums/album18/DSCN2025.sized.jpg Myles |
