I've been looking for a cheap camcorder that can be attached to a PC via a FireWire port. I found this:

http://www.megacameras.com/product/RCA-CC9373-MiniDV-Digital-Camcorder-10748.html

It's being "sold" for $0.00, and the only thing that you need to pay for is shipping and handling. What do think? Waste of money or not?

If they don't have a rating here, it makes me nervous:

Also, the camera you are looking for is not in stock. The only reason to sell a camera for zero dollars is to get rid of old stock hoping to make a few bucks on side items like tapes and cases and tripods. If you don't have it in stock, then you can collect the money, invest it, and when you finally get around to giving the money back, you will have made a profit. If you ever give it back.

Anything that seems too good to be true, usually is.

It's being "sold" for $0.00, and the only thing that you need to pay for is shipping and handling.Generally speaking, in this business you get what you pay for.

That site also lists a Canon Optura 60, a high-end consumer camcorder which was discontinued quite awhile back, for $67.04, presumably marked down from the usual price of $65.05. Click their Buy Now button and you're told "...either out of stock or our warehouses are low in quantity. You can still buy them now, but items that are not in stock might take 2 - 3 weeks to deliver."

Hmm... they might take longer than 2 - 3 weeks to deliver, considering that they're no longer made or sold new. Consider making your next camcorder purchase from our DV Info Net site sponsors (http://www.dvinfo.net/sponsors) instead.
