This new edirol mixer looks like it would be cool for monitoring various sources in the edit suite. Any of you guys hear anything abot it. I think its supposed to start shiping this month.

Among the features I'm interested in are:

Modular design: Having all of your conections in a rack would save me a lot of space.

Fire wire interface: Only 2 in, but 20 out is plenty to use this as a monitor desk.

Digital ins/outs.

What do you guys think?

Did some further reading. I guess I was mistaken by a few of the features.

Its usb sending 18 channels to the computer and recieving two tracks back.

Still pretty cool though.
