Hi there

Can anyone help me out with a slight problem I have.

I am editing a wedding video in PP2 using the matrox RT X2, version PAL.

I have a bride who is twirling around with her dress flowing behind her and I have added the matrox ghosting plugin to it where it gives off a shadow following behind her as she twirls, i have also reduced the speed of the clip down to 50%.

The problem is, it looks great on the monitor whilst editing but when I put it through encore and burn it onto disc it flickers like mad.

I have other footage in the wedding that is slowed down but have no flickering.

Hope someone can help

Regards
Wayne

Might seem like a long way to do it, but this is what I do.

I copy the clip in question, put it right above on track 2, open up the motion tab (I use FCP) change the opacity to what I need, spped up or slow down, and if needed, offset the clip by a few frames.

Sometimes I increase the size of the clip as well.

That way it renders like a clip and not a filter.

try rendering out the slow-mo clip first, then apply the filter...u shouldn't have to, but it might just work

or de-interlace the clip?

to test it i'd render out just a few seconds instead of going straight to encore
