Hello everyone,
I'm new in here and the info I get from all of you is priceless.
I bought a used xl2 about a month ago, The camera looks brand new.
when I set it to record in "AUTO" then play back I get a lot of picture noise, even when I just plug it to my tv I can see a lot of it.
Many, many thanks to everyone for your time.

I'm not an XL user; but can you put in in Maunal and adjust for exposure ? Sounds like you may be getting some feeedback ?

Hi Victor. Noise is normally caused by high gain settings, which will happen with Auto gain if the light level is too low. Best thing to do is switch the gain to 0dB or -3dB which should give you much less noise. Make sure that the room is bright and that the ND filter on the lens is switched off. (And don't use the green box mode because this always means auto gain.)
