I saw this footage earlier today... he posted a link on another forum. He also stated that he had image stabilization off.
Here is a direct link to the HQ footage...

As I cautioned on another site, the quality of the HV20 footage with OIS on and when viewed on an HDTV, is much much better than this.

Dang................. that video is absolutely horrible! What was the point of the original poster? To demo how bad the video from the HV20 was?

Anything on YouTube looks bad. It's really not a web host for making good impressions. I saw the footage from Mike's link and it's friggin' great. I don't own this camera yet, but I love what I've seen from the little mofo so far.

Have watched the 80Mb MP4 version and not sure if its the re-compression or my screen but..Putting the shakiness aside, the video looks badly soft.. and mainly over-exposed..
But what concerns me more is the extremely soft images that lacks details

I agree. Having the HV20, I can attest to the fact that this footage almost looks like a different camera. The HV20 footage truly does look like GOOD network HD footage.

I did post the article as well so if someone looked at it they would see that the stabilizer was off.
I posted this to show that people are already using it in the news. It had nothing to do with trying to put this camcorder in a bad light. I do sometimes mention that it should have had a focusing ring, but that’s it.
Anyway, Can someone post a direct link or at least tell me which forum?

Well it wasn't just that the OIS was off, the exposure was off and the sharpness was soft. Anyone who owns an HV10 or HV20 knows how much better these cams can do than that.

Just ordered one myself.... based on other footage I've seen on this site...
That video was obviously highly pixelated, and the poster knew nothing about compressing for web. Also, not even OIS would help that unsteady hand...

the picture doesn't look like a hv20 or its threated wrong in the encoding process.
