Do I now need to hit the tickbox for Sony settings to get the 24p? The Sony pulldown option works great on this clip. Load the clip into HDLink and set it for 2-3 pulldown extraction (nothing else) and you will get 24p of beautiful data. It just take a few moments to determine if pulldown extraction is need. So the HV20 requires pulldown. Canon, please send us one. Pete Bauer April 2nd, 2007, 08:17 PM Hey David, I certainly do hope that Canon will send you an HV20 so you can make sure to fully support it. (Looking forward to getting my hands on one, too, even if for less pragmatic reasons!) But in any case, their literature indicates without question that the 24p mode for that camera is simply a 2:3 pulldown to 60i. It doesn't do any progressive 30fps, only the 24p 2:3 and regular 60i. Plays back the F-Modes, but doesn't record them. Looking forward to visiting your booth at NAB! |
