View Full Version : Zooming Into The World From Space

I'm keen to replicate something I see from time to time on television. It's an aerial view of the world from space that zooms right into a sports stadium for example.

I've thought about trying to use something like Google Earth to replicate this effect, though it tends to leave the post/zip code emblazed across the final destination.

I'm really keen to find out if there are packages out there that do a better job of this.

Many thanks and regards
Neil

I think that if you pay an outrageous annual subscription fee to google earth you can get what you are looking for. Maybe just better to do it without the subscription with a desktop recorder and then try your best to get rid of unwanted ifor by cropping or somthing. Check out this link from jetdv

Very impressive, but I couldn't justify $400 as I'm only looking for 10 seconds or so.

I'll have a bash at viewing Google Earth my HDTV and filming the screen. It'll be easy enough for me to zoom in a tad on the video with Vegas to crop the Google Earth logo, though I'm likely to still be left with a zip code.

I wonder if Google Earth would let me try it on a pay-per-view basis?

Thanks once again
Neil
