Hi all,

I've long been a bit of a troll on DVinfo. I met Chris Hurd ages ago at a CES event I was working for Robin Liss, and he gave me his card - been lurking ever since. When I realized I had no idea what my log in and password was, I decided to re-sign up and stay for real this time :)

I'm a free lance shooter, and documentary filmmaker. I write professionally and am trying to move my media consulting business in the direction of full time documentary and ethnographic productions. I'm in the process of gearing up, which is loads of fun. One of my friends who I shoot with just picked up the Sony PDW 350, which we've had a great time getting to know. It's good to have friends with such wonderful tools.

Glad to be here, hope to add some value to the crew as time passes.

Hi Nathaniel,

Gearing up eh? You must be ordering everything online - or have you found a place in town?

Always good to see another Vegas shooter around here (actively).

Thanks for the welcome Rob! Good to be here, and out of the darkness.

Hey Lisa,

Ya, between Ebay and B&H I think I'll be set :) A buddy of mine shoots regularly for the V Theater (in the Aladdin) and usually brings me along as second camera/grip, which is great.

You working for yourself here in town, or with a crew?

Cool. I read that the V was hiring for a tech recently.

I'm not working for anyone here, just by myself.
