Hey all Im just wondering about the saltwater getting on the camera I do have a rain cover and so the main part of the body should be fine but still the end of the lens might get a bit of salt on it. Im just wondering what I have to do to take care of it. I already have a UV filter on the camera and that will most likely stay on. I'm just a finatic about keeping my camera clean as possible.
Thanks,

I've lived in Florida (near Clearwater) for nearly 2 years and I use a UV filter if I'm near the beach. I've had no problems. Truthfully, I worry more about sand scratching than the salt .

Thanks Jeff. Do you use anything special on the filter to clean it? I do have lens cleaner for my glasses that I have used as well as the cloth.

I use a micro fiber cloth. After going to the beach I wash in cold water and air dry because they can shrink. If I get a stubborn smudge I use my breath or fresh water from drinking fountain to moisten the filter and remove the smudge. Rub in a circular motion with a little force. Most people don't rub hard enough.
