View Full Version : xlr splitter Larry Vaughn March 17th, 2007, 08:46 PM I recently was asked to get an xlr splitter cable to run output from one mic to two hdv cameras. Is this an appropriate way of feeding two cameras? Would there be any attenuation problems? Don Bloom March 17th, 2007, 09:18 PM it's worked fine for me in the past. Not with HDV but that alone shouldn't make any difference. Would there be any attenuation problems? As a basic rule of thumb, Two XLR cables cannot be combined into the same input, but one XLR cable can be split into two different inputs. Just as the 2 different splitters can go 2 different ways-both ARE 1 into 2 but going different ways. Like I said I think we're both saying the same thing just saying it differently. Don |
