Didn't Lucas, years ago, say he wouldn't release Star Wars on DVD until the high density blue laser discs came out? This was circa 1999 or so. If my memory is right, this technology has been on the drawing boards for years.

Then again, while in high school, I heard about SD DVD players in 1994 and they said it would be 3 years until they came out in America.
