Good luck with the shoot.
I recall you got all sorts of advice.
I would be interested to read what advice you have to offer after this experience taping a school play.

Phew... I am glad that this is over... Just got home and sipping a nice Congnac to calm me down. All went OK and I got some beautiful shots. Mostly close ups. I have used 2 cameras the one was set to film a wide angle from the side of the screen and I was operating the main camera (HDR-FX7) following the action with medium to close up shots. I was well prepared as I sat during the final rehearsal. This is a must, as you know what to anticipate. Used all the advises I got from you guys. I couldn't use a sound feed so I used the on board mike but listening to it now it came out very well. The only problem I had was that I got a back ache cramp but I managed. It must have been my nervousness. It wasn't that difficult after all. Now comes the difficult part: editing! I am going to use Ulead ViseoStudio 10+ as I am familiar with this. I am still learning Sony Vegas but I don't want to use it as yet. I will post here some clips from the play. Thank you all again.
