A friend of mine suggested I take a look at some web design companies that are very affordable. One of them is here:

Just curious what you all think of it? It's overseas and more affordable, but would I still be getting what I pay for? Someo0ne quoted me $1,500, which is fair, but out of my price range.
Thanks,
Heath

Heath,
If there is only one thing I've learned, it is that you get what you pay for with almost zero exceptions.

You can, if you want to. Network Solutions has a Standard Web Hosting Package for $12/mo including a fairly-idiot proof web design utility with decent templates. If I can use it anyone can.
Granted, it will look like what it is- a sort of cookie-cutter website with limited development options, etc.- but for those who don't want to spend a lot on their website it is a good DIY solution.

I'm through dreamhost, which is great (www.dreamhost.com), but I might have a friend of mine do it. Just talked to him; he uses www.joomla.org, but I don't know...everything is based on a template, unless you spend the big $$$, as Benjamin said.
