This month's contest judge is none other than DVinfo's own Steven Dempsey. Steven's remarkable nature footage has inspired many users at DVinfo, and his nature and outdoors presets for the XL H1 (and now the XH A1) are becoming forum user standards.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Steven Dempsey first came to the United States as a
hopeful rock musician in 1987. While living in New York, he developed a
passion for art. He experimented with sound and image montages from found video and pictures on the Web and eventually graduated to shooting motion images of his own. He moved to Pine Lake in Washington with his family in 2000 and has been shooting nature footage ever since.

Steven continues to hone his cinematography skills while producing stock
footage for a number of clearance houses. He is a well-respected member ofDVInfo and recently released "Water's Edge", a compilation of his short
nature vignettes on DVD.
