(excluding RED ONE, but I doubt that'll be used for broadcast.) Greg Boston February 26th, 2007, 12:01 AM Hmm, possibly the first broadcast 1080p60 camera? (excluding RED ONE, but I doubt that'll be used for broadcast.) I believe the HDC-1500 does 1080P60 as well. It was introduced last year at NAB. -gb- Jemore Santos February 26th, 2007, 02:31 AM the fellas at work (panavision australia) nickname that the "baby genesis". it has a similiar design and also uses the same film magazine type tape compartment, it also uses the HDCAM-SR codec. Mike Curtis February 26th, 2007, 11:00 AM Yep - the 1500 did 1080p60 on dual link (but only 4:2:2) last year. Jeff Cree of Band Pro made a significant point of it NOT being a baby Genesis - different sensor entirely, different optical path, etc. This camera is MUCH closer to an HDC-1500 with a SRW-1 on the back than to the Genesis. Key points of differentiation: -traditional 3 CCD w/B4 mount lenses -different sensor entirely -2/3" sensor not 35mm sized Wayne Morellini February 26th, 2007, 01:48 PM If nobody has told you this before Mike, welcome to dvinfo.net ;) . |
