I was digitizing today into Xpress Pro and a couple of clips, (only 2 out of more than 150) wouldn't play. I got a warning that the audio was longer than the video. What causes this.? Any work arounds?? MPEG streamclip??

Sounds like a problem in the capture, not with the tape. Perhaps some kind of disk underrun. Did you try recapturing the problem clips? I looked around a bit on the Avid forum, but couldn't find your error.

Looks like it was a time code break. Fixed it in MPEG streamclip. Wholla.

Glad it worked out. I'm amazed your Xpress Pro captured over the timecode break. I've never had that work, whether I choose the option or not in the settings.

By the way, I liked your demo. Lots of great shots, well put together. Why do you keep it on Google? Just cost? Your demo's quality seems to deserve being on your site (IMHO).

Vito,

Well I actually didn't fix it in Avid. The clips were m2t files from JVC HD 100. I used a utility called MPEGstreamclip to fix the time code breaks and also convert to QT DNXHD110. That way Avid recognizes on import.

That is nice of you to say about my demo although I'm embarrassed that I haven't done anything with my web-site. Even my clients say it's crap.

Ah! That makes sense. I thought you had captured them in AVID, and recieved an error when you tried to use the clips.

Well, I wasn't going to be SO blunt. I did like the demo, though. Great stuff.
