I'm going to shoot a feature and I've read it's going to be quite windy this time of year where I'll be. I'm assuming I'll have to buckle down and pay the $600-$700 for a good blimp system, but I wanted to hear what you all have to say on the subject.
From what I can see Rycote makes the most popular models. Has anybody tried these wacky-looking WINDPAC contraptions? (link: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=8653&A=details&Q=&sku=364117&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation ) Are they worth the extra couple hundred? How about the K-Teks or PSCs - are they half price for a reason? (link: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=8653&A=details&Q=&sku=458958&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation , http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=8653&A=details&Q=&sku=301602&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation )
As always, thanks in advance for all your help.
