It seems to be a low light issue, as in this video, but even so, in this type of low light, is it possible to have it not occur? Maybe specific exposure settings or something? Its not as noticable in the wmv, but uncompressed it looks like your peering through a peroscope, its VERY dark around the edges. This was also filmed with the hood removed, so it doesn`t seem to be the hood causing any of it.

i have noticed this effect when using a sony z1 as well, but it also appeared slighlty oval as well, doorframes apeared slighltyy fisheyed, not sure really, could it be the lens iris is not showing the entire lens?
