I have a project shot on a FX1 that I need to deinterlace.
I own the magic Bullet suite, but it is a bit of a pain because I have to use After Effects. I am looking for an easier way to deinterlace that will give me roughly the same quality as Magic Bullet. I am using FCP, and of course, it has a deinterlacer. Will i be compromising much quality using that?

All thoughts welcomed.

thanks

Steven

StevenIf you are looking for avery real film look, I would suggest
using DV film maker. Run it to 24P and then run it back through film maker
and convert it to 24 frame NTSC. After this is done, layer it over your original
in final cut. You can adjust the amount of opacity according to movement
This will give you the smoothest film look. You can go anywhere from 30%
to 60%. You can also use gamma correction on the orignal.
