I want to buy just one book on recording audio for film and I'm looking for suggestions.
We shoot dramatic films under controlled conditions so we have some control over the types of problems you have recording audio during "live" events.
However we don't have much budget for sound equiptment. We have a cheap shotgun, wireless lapels etc. and we've been able to get decent results so far without any expert guidance, but we're looking to take it up a notch on this next project so I'm looking for a book with practical advice and not just a laundry list of expensive audio tools.
If you could only have one book on recording audio for film, what would it be?
