I have a problem in Final Cut 5.1.3 with Canon XH-A1 1080p25 footage: when I place a clip on the sequence it crops about 20% of the bottom of the image.
I captured the video on another machine but pretty sure I used the 1080p25 Easy Setup so capture preset should have been good.
Final Cut identifies the clip as 1920x1080, square pixels, 25fps. Is this normal?
If I make a custom sequence setting with those settings I get the whole image, but ofcourse with those settings everything becomes non-native and needs to be rendered.
Interestingly if I work with my footage in a 1080p24 sequence it looks ok, but with 1080p25 I lose the lower 20%. Anyone else tried 1080p25 yet?
