I looked at the manual focus footage. It looks fantastic!
Very nice colour and a real depth to the image.

Any chance of seeing some really low-light footage?

Just took a look at the low-light footage myself. Not bad at all.... a little grainy, but still pretty good considering.

what media player are you uusing to play the file? I cant open it.

change the file extension to .m2t

then you can play this with VLC media player, Nero Showtime, or download the trial version of Sony Vegas 7.0d and put it the Vegas timeline and play it.

This is noisy... That's all I can say.

Just go to your (Control Panel) click (tools), (Folder Options) hit the (View) tab, and then the last step is to unclick the (Hide extensions for known file types) and hit (apply).

Go back to the file and rename it.

got it to work..thanks. I just got an hc7. the stills are amazing. i dont like the auto focus foootage that much..but manual focus on wide setting looks good. is it possible to attach a light and mic at the same time? thanks

Same here, i am IMPRESSED!

tried changing file extension but won't let me.

Right click on the file to download, when it asks you where to put it just change the file name and let it download, the file you downloaded will
be named what you told it to name it to... that way when your done downloading you just hit the open and it will play...

footage looks good on both... the lowlight is a little noisy but thats to be expected, still good, and the turtle is very nice... and the turtle is pretty much low light too even though the tank lights are helping things along.... :-)

Looks like this cam would be great in an underwater housing.....

Yes, there is the Sony proprietary hotshoe for an external mic or video light. Or you can use a third party "cold shoe" and plug the mic into the 1/8" mic jack.
