Is there a way of capturing video directly from a DVD in Premiere 6.02? It's footage that was originally shot on 8-mm DV video tape and was then transferred to DVD. If I had an 8-mm camera, I could put it in my camera and just capture it via Firewire, but don't. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Borrow a camera. Or, buy software designed to rip the DVD into DV AVI Type2.

If it is a self made DVD, there will be no incription. Just transfer the .vob file or files to your hard drive. Then rename them with .mpeg extensions. and then import them into your editors time line. From there, render into an dv AVI for smooth editing.
