Hey folks,

I have some files recorded on a hd100 and dr-h100 - some 720p24 Quicktime files - which I am trying to look at in quicktime (on a cpu that does not have FCP on it) and QT is telling me that I am missing need plug ins. I tried download the mpeg2 playback plug in - but it didn't work. Does anyone know which plug in I need.. and where to get it.

thanks.

also has anyone else had trouble with the noise of their dr-hd100 (the drive spinning). I shot a lot of documentary footage with camera mounted omni directional mic, and I can hear the drive humming on about half of it.

Do you have Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 installed? That is the version that adds the 720/24P HDV .MOV Codec.

I have had problems with the .MOV 24P files on my DR-HD100 every now and then where they are corrupt. This has never happened with directly to m2t though.
