Hello everyone,

Has anyone else noticed that the zoom speed is substantially faster in the Card setting mode than in the tape mode.

Even when set to maximum in tape mode, "16" i believe, it is still slower, any ideas on why this might be?

You're absolutely right -- speed 16 is definitely faster in card mode. I never noticed that until you pointed it out just now.

Not only that but I've noticed in card mode the image is noticeably darker with the same settings as in tape mode.

I am not complaining about this, but it is just very curious,

Perhaps someone with access to a Canon rep. could explain why there is a difference.
