Ken Tanaka April 14th, 2003, 01:26 PM Looks like they've given you your tabbed browsing, Jeff. Well, at least in spirit. I've been trying this feature and it's been crashing the browser every time. More work appears needed. Jeff Donald April 14th, 2003, 01:36 PM I haven't had a chance to try it much, just got by bookmarks imported into Safari. I'll be trying it on and off now and see how it goes. Ken Tanaka April 16th, 2003, 08:08 PM To anyone who has not yet upgraded, you might want to pass on this latest beta. My experience so far is that it's a bit crash-happy and far less stable than previous versions. It does look like it's headed in the right direction but not yet fully cooked. Jeff Donald April 16th, 2003, 08:34 PM It does crash occassionally on me, but what I notice is the speed. It is much slower than Camino (formerly Chimera). I don't recall the early beta's being this slower. Ken Tanaka April 16th, 2003, 09:37 PM Actually, now that you mentioned it, it might be a step slower than the previous beta, too. I had to turn tabbed browsing off; it produced guaranteed augers on at least two sites I regularly visit. |
