I have been trying to figure out the best format to import for a vector based logo (transparent) to place into Premiere.

I put together a short (20 sec) and small file on the server (177kb) to test 4 formats out of Illustrator and Photoshop (Used PSD out of both, AI and EPS).

Here is what the our logo looks like:

And here is the 20 second test clip I made.

Thoughts and thanks!

I would venture to say that the coloring output is because of the profile used in each application? Is that what you are trying to figure out?

Thanks for the response Pat. I am really trying to figure out the best format to import for a vector based logo (transparent EPS file) to place into Premiere.

You are correct; the color profiles would effect the output but in my "test", all profiles were the same out of Illustrator and Photoshop.

Since most EPS files are really intended for print at CMYK or PMS colors, I have been told using for video (RGB at 72 dpi) may require some color correction to get the colors to match the EPS file.

Still playing with it and outputing as many formats as possible to compare quality and color---the PSD file out of Illustrator coming the closest to our logo.

Am trying to get a feel for others methods using logos in post. Thanks a bunch!
