I keep checking back for updates on XL2 presets for Mac and I've read every post I could find on presets. Posts dating back to 2001 indicate that presets for Mac 'coming soon.'
Can ANYONE please tell me when or IF there will ever be downloadable presets for the XL2 for MAC users? Thanks in advance for your help.
Chuck
PS: I do have a PC but it is an old Gateway (10 years old). What kind of hard drive space am I going to need to download the PC presets?

Very little. The preset files are actually plain text files with a bbp extension so that the software can identify them. Just a few hundred bytes each.
I don't think you'll be seeing a preset manager for OSX, especially now that we have Intel Macs that can run Boot Camp or Parallels.

Sadly Parallels won't address the Firewire ports directly so it won't work.

I thought the very latest version took care of that. It even runs Windows Vista. We saw a demo by one of our members at last month's FCP meeting. He's a software developer and has all that stuff running on a Mac.
But going back to the original issue, I don't think Canon ever released an SDK for OSX. Therefore, our friend Steve at Blue Barn Software was unable to produce a presets manager for the Mac.

Can I download the presets on my Mac, burn them to a CD and then loan them on my PC? My old PC is awfully slow.
