I have a SONY Wireless UWP-C1 that I use with an ECM-77 BMP - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=161264&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

The ECM-77 has a 1/8" Locking Mini-Plug to connect to the UWP unit.

I would like to "transform" it on a cable mic.
I need an adapter (with power) similar to the Sony DC-78 - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=279062&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

This one in ONLY for mic's with SMC9-4p Connection. Not the mini-plug.

Does anyone know if this adapter exists?
(if we need it, someone should have already made one ... ...)

Sincerely
Carlos

Carlos, I have that kit and thought of doing the same, but I couldn't find an accessory to provide the ECM77s power.

I'm thinking that a simple 3.5mm to XLR cable should do.
The 48V phantom will be provided by the Z1 camera.

I'm affraid of damaging the mic if it does not support the phantom power, not sure on this.

I found a brochure on the Sony site for the lav mic series that says this particular mic requires 1.1 to 10 vDC, 0.4mA. I'd be wary of hitting it with full 48v phantom power. Should be easy enough to build a small battery box that would hold a couple of AA or AAA cells.

Look on this url, about the middle of page 7 in the specs

Call one of the companies that does sound for a living like Trew Audio or Location Sound. They can set you up with something that you can be sure will work for you.
