I have purchased a Shuttle Pro v2.
On my computer it works in every application ....except Vegas...?
Is there are special settings that I'm missing?
I donwloaded the latest driver from the contour's site, however Vegas 7 is not listed in the application settings in the Contour Shuttle Device Configuration. It only has Sony Vegas 6.
If I go to the Sony Vegas help file it actually lists it as device that is supported by vegas.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

If my memory serves me correctly, Vegas ships with ShuttlePro-configuration files. Just browse through the Vegas app directory (C:\Program Files\...).

Other way is to make copy of Vegas 6 settings and change the application reference in ShuttlePro to point to Vegas 7-executable.

Sorry that I cannot give you any more specific instructions but I'm currently away from my edit machine.

OK, now I'm at home.

Open ShuttlePro2 Control Panel (i.e. click the icon in system tray and select "Open Control Panel"). Choose "Options - Import Settings". Navigate to your Sony app directory (std: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas 7.0) and select the appropriate prefs-file.

That's it.

HAHA!!!! I have spent hours on this today, downloading new drivers, uninstalling, installing, eporting, importing. Contour's website simply sucks and is filled with misinformation.

This board, on the other hand, ROCKS!! This solved my problem in 30 seconds.

ShuttleXpress is no longer another paperweight on my desk!!

This is a common symptom of hanging around smart & experienced professionals. I'm here for the Osmosis Learning as well. :-)
