Hey guys

Well I've just got back from a boarding trip and WOW...a fantastic number of entries. I've just moved apartment and at the moment, no ADSL so I haven't started looking at everyones entries....Rest assured I certainly will and I'll throw some feedback up where I see fit.

My film.....well it was a little rushed unfortunately because I was going away to find some snow. Looking at it now I think it could be editing to about 1.45/2.00 mins and sit a lot better at that length. It's also a shame that at the resolution I had to use the Starlings were not a effective. Full size it looks better....maybe I'll try and throw something of high resolution together when I get some time

Oh and sorry about the audio bug at the end....I really don't know what happend but I will lay the audio track down again and put a 'clean' file up soon!

Well.....let rip people !!!!?????? :)

I liked the way you captured so many different movements of the starlings. You made the flock seem like a larger living organism. I really enjoyed watching it- mesmerizing.

There's a bunch of this going on in San Diego right now. People are lining up in the evenings to watch the 'art in the sky'. It made national news a week or so ago.

Very mesmerizing to watch the formations and the elegant flow of the patterns.

Beautiful footage mat! I really liked it! The Music was awesome, what did you do to get it???

Another question (or two), how did you get your footage in the dark without noise?? I looked soooo good! also, would you mind to post the gear you used?

Great job! Keep up the good work!

Sweet film Mat!

I think I would have just sat there and watched forgetting to hit the record button. :) It does look like some other life form they way they all move in unison. Thought the music was a good choice too. It all worked.

Wow! You managed to capture some really nice shots with those birds. Some beautiful moments where they really do become one. Nice.

I agree with your own assessment about making it shorter. I liked the music selection too. Can you mention who that was?

Went boarding? As in snowboarding? Hope the move goes smooth for you.

Best wishes~

Matt: This must be something going on world wide right now. We heard of the starling doing this in Northern California here too. Is Alfred Hitcock out there somewhere....

Nice job, and love the sky scenics too !

Swirling to music that, as it developed, combined to make a nice skydance.
