My brother and I just shot a little short with the xh-a1 and we had to match some of the footage with some older dv stuff (vx-2000). The matching wasn't bad for youtube quality. The canon stuff was at 24f.

Heres the video.

(the myspace one actually looks better)

You should upload a full res version so we can see the camera's capabilities!

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Estebe, I'll get around to uploading a higher res version - it's much easier to see the difference between the DV and HDV obviously. Kevin, Lulu has that effect on people hehe ...

That is some creative stuff! I liked it a lot and the voice over was perfect. I especially liked the fan part(went well with the music).

lol, I have a dog named Lulu as well. She is stupid, hence the name. I rather have the dog in your video.

Daniel - I'm TOTALLY in love!

This is exactly why I am in this business. Not for the adaptors. Not for the HD. Not for the . . . but to tell stories. Simple stories that move, excite, create humour and generally add something to our all too short human passing.

Daniel - THANK you. Thank you very much. And a big paw of friendship to Mistress Lulu! - I'm totally besotted.

On a related note (although not shot on the A1), you guys should check out this film from Pleix.

Thanks for all the great replies, everyone. Lulu deserves all the credit! The tennis ball pool scene was a lot of fun to shoot, she didn't know what to do because she couldn't choose just one, so she just kept swimming around, moving from ball to ball.

Benji - that pleix film was amazing! I'd love to see a full-res version. Beautifully shot.

I find it funny and sad that I enjoyed this story more than some films I have seen and actually watched it all. Maybe theres some beauty that comes from simplicity.
