Hi there

I just received my Sony HDR-FX7 camcorder and there is a see-thru plastic ring (cover) arount the front of the microphone. Do you remove it? or is this some sort of protection.

I've still got mine on too! But I think it's nothing more than a protective covering for shipping purposes.

It's just for shipping. Remove it if you don't like it attached.
