Bought a FE Firestore FS-C. Getting ready to do a documentary with a lot of shooting in the field.
Any advice for battery power other than the 90 minutes battery that came with it? I can't find the 180 minute life battery anywhere (all sold out!). Any other power options?
Thanks

Not sure if it fits, but it's worth a call.

I'm usinf an IDX NP7 battery system. It has an output that will directly feed the FS4 series of HD recorders. Works great!

I use a 13.2 volt battery belt (that I originally bought from Armato's for powering a video light) to power my Firestore. All you need is a cigarette lighter adapter cable to connect the Firestore to the belt (I actually found the one I needed at a local "Dollar or Less" type of store). My belt will easily power the Firestore for its full 80 GB (6 hour) capacity but if you power anything else with the same belt at the same time (like a light or an LCD monitor) then it obviously won't work as long.

I also use a battery belt, which comes with my NRG Varalux light and it powers both the FS-4 (40GB) and light just fine on just 12 volts. I'm glad I have two belts, so I can charge one while using the other.
I got my cigarette adapter and Adaptaplug "L" connector from Radio Shack for $9.
