Hello,

which one of you guys are using? Cineform Aspect HD costs way more than Raylight, is it worth it? What are the main differences between programs?

thank you

I use Raylight with my Vegas Video 6.0 and my HVX200 P2 files - works great. At least for VV, you cant get better. Cineform may be better for Premiere users. . .what is your editor and what are you using it for ?

i use premiere pro...
i would need just to edit HD and stuff, my pc aint that good to go without any support codec...

i like that cineform can do HD to SD conversion and in raylight i like that it can do those proxy files, so you dont have to run your NLE to preview files...

I use Premier and Cineform. Cineform really seems to accelerate the editing of footage in Premiere. It disables applied effects upon playback making for smoother playback as well. I tried Raylight upon its first incarnation, and the only reason I did not purchase at the time was that it lacked a flip function for 35mm adapters. I've heard that the new version is great, and the price is Bob Barker if you know what I mean.

No question: Raylight. Not only does the developer continually add updates with new features, but it is a great overall program. And unlike Cineform, it does not use Product Activation, so you don't have to ask "permission" to reinstall it...

I paid for my copy of Raylight early last year, and would gladly have paid for an upgrade when new features were added -- but the upgrade was free!

Raylight is truly a wonderful program. I highly recommend it.
