Hello guys and gals. Name's Orri Jonsson, just signed up. Been reading these forums for quite some time, but never got around to subscribing. Now I have and have no video-editing fears anymore, thanks to you guys. I live in Encino, California. I use Sony Vegas 7c, Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and a Sony HDR-FX1. I also have a smaller DV camcorder from Sony, but don't know the name of it at the moment. FireWire 800 all the way. PC system running a cheap mobo, AMD X2 3800+, 1 gig of slow ram, and a windows XP pro operating system. I have a 7.1 surround system made possible by a Yamaha RX-V557 receiver, Bose subwoofer and 7 generic speakers...the soundcard is a MadDogMultimedia 7.1 card. Those are my specs, that's where I live. Oh by the way, I shoot for documentaries, news clips and personal home video where I am usually the lead actor, lol. Thanks for hearing me out/reading this post.
