I'm shooting a film about snowkiting that requires shots at high speed from a snowmobile following an athlete. Until now I've been using the Manfrotto Fig Rig to stabilize my Sony FX1 camera. You can see the result from last year here: http://www.snowkitefilm.com/files/entropy-trailer_large.wmv

I would like to find an inexpensive way of stabilizing the camera to get smoother shots. Does anyone know what the best method would be? I've looked at the Kenyon Gyro Stabilizers, but they're alittle out of my price range...

You can rent KS4 gyro's that would work well for your application. Weekly rental rates aren't too bad.

Or you can hire me, and I'll fly my RC heli with a KS2 gyro stabilized FX1 mounted on it and get the most unique footage you have ever imagined.
