I'm looking for a portable, battery-powered, full HD monitor under 10" that I could mount to my camera or rails. I have a Marshall 7" and it's 800x600 resolution can't physically display 720 (let alone 1080)... it's fine for the stock HVX lens on autofocus (or MF with push AF), but it falls short when you need precise focus when using a 35mm adapter (especially in high contrast lighting scenarios - ie. brightly lit subject outside at night).

I've looked at three 8.4" monitors (ERG, Astro, and Panasonic), but they all have resolutions of 1024x768... no good for 1080... it might be good for 720, but if I'm dropping several thousand bucks on a monitor, I want it to be able to display 1080.

doesn't exist- and those are the best manufacturers out there. I've never had a serious issue with focus using the ERG higher end product which I think is the best of the three you mentioned though it is 768X1024

As of yet I have not used it with any 35mm adapters however, I will be testing the adapter system from Zacuto once they release it.

If you look at the Image Gallery in the HVX200 section you'll see photos I posted of the Panasonic BT-LH900 monitor in use; it is the best quality and has the sharpest/most color correct screen of any sub-10"inch monitor. Plus it has the built-in wave-form monitor (which you can see in the photos), a big help in keeping good exposure. It will also handle every HD format you can throw at it allowing critical focus for 1080i/p, especially when you crank up the PEAKING (sharpness).

Make sure you setup your PLUGE lines on the HVX LCD flip-out prior to shooting and you'll have a perfect setup with the LH900.

It definitely seems like the best monitor of the bunch (and the priciest), but I'm still concerned about focus when shooting 1080 or even 720 with any adapter.
