When I watch my footage shot with my Canon GL2 direct from camera to television it looks great. But after I edit and burn it to a DVD with Premiere Pro 1.5 it seems not to be as sharp and has flicker, which comes and goes, in some areas of picture? Is the DVD burning software in PPro not doing a good job?
Any suggestions?

Thomas,
If you include your project and export settings, we may be able to help you better.

Also, what are you using to burn your DVD? Encore, Roxio?

John, please include your export and project settings and what you're burning with. We can't help you if you don't know what you're looking at.

The MPEG2 encoder that's part of both Premiere and Encore (licensed from MainConcept) is generally regarded as low end, poor quality. It's one of those things that depend on your onw "pickyness" - some people are happy with it, others aren't. Depending on how much you are willing to invest in a stand-alone encoder, you can get slightly better or much better results: from Tsunami (TMPGENC) to CinemaCraft...
