Well, my HV10 finally arrived today. I charged it, put in a JVC miniDV tape, and began to record around my house. When trying to review the footage, the play button had no effect. I could see the picture (which is very grainy) but there is no motion. How can I get it to play? Thanks!

Do you have a SD card installed ?

No I don't. Is that required? I thought it was only for stills.

maybe a still shot is "playing".

Try rewinding the tape and playing from both the power button and the deck button on the side (under the LCD screen).

It seems like my first HV10 was a lemon. Exchanged it for a new one. Anyway, thanks for the help everyone!
