I am going to buy canon HV10, but found out there are two different manufacturer part numbers. For example, Buydig.com and Beach Camera sell Hv10 with manufacturer part# 1194B001AA, but Butterfly photo and B&H sell Hv10 with manufacturer part# 1194B001. Do the part# mean some kind of quality? Anyone please give me the answer? Thanks.

I bought an HV10 last week from B&H and it shows the model as HV10 A. Have they always been HV10 A or is this a revision?

This bothers me a lot because some people showed that HV10 is very good even at very low light, such as the footage provided by Michael Ferreira, but I also heard others say it is not so good. I believe all of these user's reviews are correct comments for their own HV10s, the only thing bothers me most is that maybe (just my guess) the HV10 produced at different time may have some difference (maybe there are some improvements for the latter products). So, I want to know which manufacturer part# is the latter product. I would prefer the HV10 that is produced most recently. Robb, would you please tell me the part# of your HV10? How do you feel your HV10? Would you please upload some footage for share?

According to my box, its says:

HV10 A KIT
1194B001[AA]

If you're going to buy, get it from B&H for a great price and current product.

Does anyone have a model after they were released? Does your box have the same info?

I've had the camera for almost a week now and haven't been able to shoot a single thing. Waiting on my Panasonic tapes from ProTape and waiting on the MiniSD card from Amazon. Holiday weekend & Day of Mourning and I'm impatient. ;-) ;-) Hopefully everything will come tomorrow or Friday so I can play with it this weekend.

The online manual shows the model number as HV10 A on page 11, so it may have always been HV10 A.

Maybe the part indicates the region, or manufacture location. They could come from different factories?

I think that the letter means region. A for USA, E for Europe...
