Alex,
Looks great !
What about HD-SDI capture & the Blackmagic?
Thanks,
John

Alex Raskin
July 23rd, 2008, 09:22 AM
John, thanks.

HD-SDI: Intensity card does not have HD-SDI input, only HDMI. I gather you could get a HD-SDI to HDMI converter box to use with this current setup. I don't have HD-SDI cam yet.

Otherwise, Declink HD Extreme card has HD-SDI inputs, BUT it costs $1,000 for the card alone; and, it is not available in low-profile, so it won't fit my setup. PC in my setup (pictured above) requires low-profile cards, or it wouldn't fit inside the relatively small Pelican case.

Thanks Alex -
I could possibly use it with the HV30.
It looks like a sweet set up...Ugh, so tempting

Alex Raskin
July 23rd, 2008, 10:03 AM
Tempting and pressing :)

What if someone else buys it first?!! :)

Yes, it'll work with any HDMI camera, I think HV20/30 will be fine as signal source.

Please note that this setup is a result of much (expensive) experimentation. For instance, even HDMI monitoring imposed its issues. Everything is resolved and works fine in my setup though.

I'm reluctantly selling my JVC GY-HD200U camera body and upgraded 17x lens (Fujinon Th17x5BRM), simply because this style of camera turned out to be impractical (and much more professional than necessary) for the type of shooting I currently do.

This equipment is in truly EXCELLENT condition and really has been barely used (only 35 hours on the drum & 87 hours on the fan). There are no cosmetic defects, and the camera/lens operate flawlessly. Nothing has ever been serviced or repaired. Only JVC ProHD tapes have ever been used. The camera has only ever been used by me, indoors, and has never been so much as bumped or even looked at funny! I put a protective UV filter on the lens the moment it came out of the box, and this filter has never been removed -- but even so, the filter is in flawless condition, as this camera has been treated with kid gloves.

This kit is only about 9 months old, so the body is still under manufacturer's warranty for more than another year, while the lens is still under manufacturer's warranty for another few months.

**HOWEVER, I purchased Mack pro warranties when I bought the kit, so in fact the camera body will be under full warranty for an additional 4 years after the manufacturer warranty ends, and the lens will be under full warranty for an additional 3 years after that manufacturer warranty ends. These warranties are fully transferable to you -- this is very clearly stated right in the FAQ on Mack's website.**

I'm also including the excellent JVC tripod base (KA-551U), which makes it a "snap" to move the rig from shoulder to tripod and back again.

In addition, the camera body has an Anton/Bauer Gold Mount backplate installed. I can potentially sell this system either with or without my power kit, which consists of an Anton/Bauer Tandem 70 (formerly called "Titan") charger, as well as (2) Dionic 90 batteries. The batteries & charger have been used ONLY with this camera, and therefore are also extremely lightly used and in perfect physical condition. I might be able to find use for the A/B stuff to power my LED lights, so in theory I can sell the camera with or without the power system, depending upon your needs.

If you're interested in JVC's best camera (not counting the vastly more expensive HD250 studio version) and a superior lens to the stock 16x lens...all barely used & in fantastic condition, with all of the original boxes, manuals, etc...and all COMPLETELY UNDER WARRANTY for MANY YEARS more to come, then please feel free to send me an email through the forum, and I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Obviously, I'd like to recoup as much of my initial expense as possible and minimize my loss, while I realize you want to save over buying this kit at new retail prices. This is among the best "used" equipment around -- and is backed by a huge warranty to boot. I'm very fair, and I'm sure we can work something out that will make us both happy.

Thanks,
Brent

Hi Josh, thanks for the suggestion I too have other options for software, I just need to use the industry standard as people are sending me scripts in that format and it's beginning to be an issue. I may now have a copy of final draft 7, but will know for sure in a couple of days. Thanks anyway, carter

Good news: Scarlet is supposed to be under $3000 new!
Bad news: Can you wait until the tentative delivery date of early 2009? (most expect delays).
You'll probably want some accessories with this too...

I'm holding onto my A/B battery and charger for my next camera, but this mounting plate is no longer necessary and I'd like to buy one for the new camera instead.

This adapter plate locks into the battery compartment location on the rear of the HD100/110 cameras and with the provided screws/washers it is fastened to the camera.

This mount also has an optional accessory for attaching wireless mics. I ended up making my own with stock aluminum (I do a little bit of metal work on the side), painted it with black texture paint to match the adapter finish, and this bracket attaches with two black thumscrews and is completely removable.

I would frequently mount two Sennheiser G2 wireless receivers here and it worked very well.

The adapter plate runs about $150 to $200 new. Best price I found was at B&H - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?ci=0&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=jsp%2Fproduct.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t&shs=jvc714hdv&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=jsp%2Fproduct.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t

The optional accessory wireless mic holder is nowhere to be seen, but was an additional $50.

I'd like to get $125 for this package. It is in good condtion (I'd say excellent, but the mic holder shows wear from the wire clips of the receivers being rubbed against it from every time I added/removed one of them). The A/B adapter is like new.

I am just testing the waters, but I will shortly be selling of my PAG C6 on camera light system, as I no longer use this light, and as such it's sitting around gathering dust (figuratively speaking). This system is in great condition. This system produces fantastic clean light, has a focusable beam, is small and lightweight, and because of the composite body, stays cool.

System includes:
PAG C6 light (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/278994-REG/PAG_1001_C6_On_Camera_Light.html)

Complete system Includes:
* C6 Battery
* Shoulder Strap
* Charger
* AC Plug Connector
* 20 Watt Lamp
* Accessory Ring with Daylight Filter, Diffuser and Barndoors
* Camera Shoe Plate
* Light Housing with Lampholder

Extras Include:

Power Pack for C6 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/314435-REG/PAG_1008_PowerPack_for_C6_On.html) (2 additional) All batteries have belt clips on them, as well as carrying straps available if needed.
1020 Short Hotshoe Extender (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/382955-REG/PAG_1020_1020_Short_Extender_Accessory.html) This will enable you to mount PAG C6 light and additional accessory to your cameras hotshoe.
1009 Lamp Holder (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/314438-REG/PAG_1009_1009_Lampholder_and_Protector.html) (2 of these)
PAG lamps (30 and 20 watts)

This system is in pristine condition (Like New), and would retail for over $800.00.

I'm looking to let it go for $600 or best reasonable offer.

REVISED from above

I don’t want to sell my JVC kit, but I just haven’t needed to use them much lately. It’s time to move on, pay off some bills, And, I’d rather get them to someone else who will put it to better use. The Camera is in good shape, normal working scrapes but always kept clean & protected. Only partner and myself have ever used it. No loan outs to others. The only problem I can find with it physically is a small broken clip that holds a mic cable. I never even new it was missing until I decided to look it over before putting it up for sale. It’s been sitting unused for the last few months until two weeks ago when my friend and I used it for a low budget music video.
You Can See It Here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym7aj...eature=related

We have been using a number of higher end cameras lately, but damm I love the way the JVC feels. I can go all day with this thing on my shoulder. I have only ever used the Jvc Pro Hd tape stock in the camera, and have never run more than 3 tapes in playback. Firewire is working great. The power fuse blew early on and was replaced and calibrated by JVC in Ill. Been great ever since.

I won’t go into all the details of this camera, If you’re looking at this you already know about It. A Google search or JVC PROHD Forum On Dvinfo.com will tell you all the details about JVC’s PROHD Line.
