Tyge Floyd July 14th, 2008, 08:41 PM I've just completed an upgrade of some of my equipment and have the following gear for sale. Video Seal Skins XL Camera Cover - AS NEW-NEVER USED (http://www.videosealskins.com/color.html) I've had this for a couple of years and to be honest I lost it! It was buried in an old suitcase and I just found it the other day. Never been used, sold as new. Tough, waterproof protection of all Canon XL cameras. Woodland Camo pattern just like the pictures on the web site. New ones are $189 plus shipping. $125 shipped to your door. CamRade CB - Single II Camera Bag - BRAND NEW, NEVER USED (http://camrade.alphatron.com/index.php?page_id=311&locale=en_US&m%5Bproduct-select%5D%5Bproduct_category_id%5D=19519%3B19534) It came with a camera package I bought and I don't need it. This bag is suitable for the Canon XL series plus many other pro model camcorders from Sony, Panasonic and JVC. The approx. outside dimensions are, 28" long x 12" wide x 11" deep. It has three removable dividers inside the main compartment that allows you to customize the fit for your camera. It also has a tie down strap with quick connect buckle to secure your camera and keep it from shifting inside the bag. There are three zippered compartments along the length of the bag on the outside, two on one side and one on the other. Also included is a nicely padded shoulder strap. The bag is identical to the picture I have posted here (http://www.fulldrawoutdoormedia.com/For-Sale/camradebag.jpg). Retails for over $200. $125 shipped to your door. Sony UHF Wireless Lav Mic System (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=274576&is=REG&addedTroughType=search) I've gotten more compliments on the audio this setup has captured than any other piece of equipment I own. Great range, super easy on batteries (2 x AA's), easy to setup and durable. The receiver and transmitter both have scratches and scrapes from being hauled all over the world the last few years, but they are as good as new otherwise. $300 shipped to your door. Bogen/Manfrotto 745MF3 tripod (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=357527&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation) and 501 Pro Video Head (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/162660-REG/Bogen_Manfrotto_3433_3433_501_Pro_Video.html) It's used, it's been around the world at least ten times, there are scratches, there are scrapes, it's light, it works like a charm. The sweet thing about this setup is the tripod. There is a 50mm ball assembly that allows you to level the head...a must for outdoor use. Until you have used a ball head you don't know what you've been missing! The Magfiber cuts down on the overall weight of the setup. The 501 head is the industry standard for video heads, speaks for itself. $300 shipped to your door. I've bought and sold gear here and on eBay. (http://myworld.ebay.com/thetexasoutdoorsman/) I prefer PayPal as payment, I will pay the fees. No checks or money orders excepted. Contact me via the email in my profile if interested. I have added some pictures to my web site of the used gear. Click here. (http://www.fulldrawoutdoormedia.com/For-Sale.htm) Thanks! Or trade for a Sony Z1U - FX1 - Canon XH-A1 Eugene Kim July 16th, 2008, 12:18 PM FS: K-Tek K-HE 750 "Hodges Effect" brass counterweight. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/292923-REG/K_Tek_K_HE_K_HE_750_Hodges_Effect.html This nifty little brass counterweight attaches to the end of K-Tek boompoles with threaded ends (the ones that have the flow-through bases for an internal straight cable and the shock absorbing mushroom base bottom). Weighs 26oz., 750 grams, and the effect is that it makes booming easier and less fatiguing by counterbalancing the microphone's weight. Condition is excellent. You can also stack these if you want more counterbalancing for extremely long lengths or heavy loads like with a long gun or full zeppelin setup. Price: $40 shipping via USPS Priority Mail included in the price. Save money on buying this brand new, it is after all just a weight. If you want it, you can e-mail/Paypal me at ravishingruwooba@yahoo.com . Thanks. Alex Raskin July 16th, 2008, 01:04 PM For sale (I have made a larger version, cannot afford to keep this one too): *Mobile* HD Video capture PC, mini-version in Pelican 1560 case. Roll it in (yes, case has wheels), open it up, turn it on, capture video. Works fantastic on location! I even powered it from the car battery invertor, no issues whatsoever! (Normal operation is by 120V outlet of course.) HDTV Monitor shows both PC screen, and HDMI pass-through when you switch it with remote. Great sound monitoring via built-in speakers. Both PC and monitor completely fit inside the black Pelican case, are securely attached, and all you have to do is open the case to start working - all connections are already there. PC is Intel 3Ghz Core 2 Duo with 2Gb memory, running Win XP Pro with Intensity card as capture device. Comes with mini-keyboard/trackball combo. Gigabit Ethernet port affords very fast file transfers of the captured video off the 250Gb 7200rpm SATA drive. (or capture to some external USB drive if you wish!) Blackmagic codecs come with Intensity install, as well as MJPEG codec that I actually used with great success (small file sizes, great quality.) Asking price: $1,730 will recover my cost of components. You save all the time, sweat, and tears (and risks) of putting it together :) Pick it up at Union City NJ (directly across Lincoln Tunnel from NYC; easy 20-min car or bus ride), or I can ship via UPS at your expense - your choice. I'd prefer you *pick it up*, so I could demonstrate how great the unit is in action. I used it mostly with MJPEG and Cineform Aspect HD codecs. (Cineform AHD is not included in price, and does not come with this kit.) Need to shoot tomorrow? Get this HD capture PC/Monitor today and you're ready to go. Looks professional, too. Works great with Sony V1U; I imagine also with any HDMI camera like Canon HV20 and up, etc. Of course the advantage is that you get live HDMI signal in HD resolution *before* the tape compression, so there's practically no artifacts associated with fast motion as the opposite to tape capture. V1U outputs 1920x1080 in 4:2:2 color space via HDMI, looks great on capture. Oh, and the footage is ready to edit instantly. Hey, it's a full-blown, very fast PC... install Premiere/After Effects and edit away! Inquiries: please email me from here or from the Contact form at my web site. Thanks for looking. - Alex Dan Keaton July 16th, 2008, 01:46 PM Dear Eugene, Email sent. Brent Kolitz July 16th, 2008, 02:30 PM Hi Max, I have the 100GB model. Perfect in every way, and it's been upgraded to the version 3.0 firmware. It's also still under warranty for about another 3 months. Feel free to send me an email if you'd like more info. Chris Leffler July 16th, 2008, 03:09 PM I am interested in the setup with the 501 head. Please let me know method of payment and if there is shipping to add on. How do you get images to actually show up in the post?? Matt Ecklund July 17th, 2008, 09:08 AM After just over a year of ownership of my JVC GY-HD100A and after much deliberation, I've finally decided to let mine go. I've faced some editing troubles while using an early version of FCP, a program which I'm unfortunately unable to update right now, which have played a role in my decision to sell my camera. This is a true High Definition (720p) video camera with a loyal following and a number of features that separate it from the wide range range of "prosumer" cameras. It shoots a progressive-scan high definition image, the preferred format of discerning viewers and purists who desire the best resolution and least degradation of their images. The 1280 x 720 full-resolution chips of this camera produce a crisp and vibrant image from which perfect stills can be taken without loss of quality or introduction of artifacts inherent in interlaced video cameras. JVC designed this camera with high-end users in mind. The build quality is excellent and it comes equipped with all the features professionals or budding filmmakers are looking for. The camera shoots in the HDV format at 30p and 24p frame-rates, in addition to 25p, 50p and 60p in standard definition. This makes editing a breeze in the majority of editing applications, even on more modest machines (a five year-old G4 Powerbook for example). The camera has two XLR audio inputs, an SD card slot (and card) for saving and loading preset scene files, full manual controls and three user-programmable buttons. A superb full-auto mode enables a cinematographer to concentrate exclusively on focusing, zooming, and pressing one of three conveniently-placed record buttons while shooting . The camera comes equipped with interchangeable lens mount and mine will be sold with the original 16x full manual HD Fujinon lens. Attachments are sold for this camera that enable 35mm Nikon and Canon lenses to be mounted directly to the body. This camera has only 76 drum hours (the actual time heads have been spinning while playing back or shooting tapes) and 158 total fan hours. This camera has been serviced by JVC and is in perfect working order. I am selling my camera with a number of accessories. In addition to the standard JVC battery and charger, I am selling an upgraded Anton Bauer Dionic battery system and charger. The battery has a live readout indicating its run-time and a specifically engineered JVC mount to attach it securely to the camera. With this upgraded system, one can expect to shoot continuously for 3 hours and 45 minutes. The shoulder-monted design is comfortable to hold for long periods and is well-balanced with the Anton Bauer battery pack installed. I am also including my Pelican 1510 case with custom foam inserts that snugly hold the camera, lens, upgraded battery, microphone and viewfinder. The original instruction manual, which I've marked with sticky notes on important sections, is included and fits in the case as well. It is very ruggedly built and its modest size is ideal for transporting the camera as carry-on luggage during flights - an important factor to consider when transporting expensive and fragile electronics equipment. Finally, I've also decided to sell with this camera my Bogen 501 Tripod Head. This is a fluid head with an adjustable tripod plate, intended to hold a camera of this size. It is very smooth and pans and tilts beautifully. It's the perfect addition to a professional shooting system. I've included links to JVC's professional products page and to an excellent online community, DVinfo.net, which is filled with helpful reviews, links, and user tips specifically pertaining to this camera. I am a member of this user group and have found timely responses and answers to many of my questions about the camera. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. I'm happy to answer any questions you have or send more pictures upon request. I prefer paypal or cash payment if you're in Minnesota and would like to deal locally. I'm asking $3000.00. Feel free to email me (lordecklund@gmail.com) if you're interested. http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/features.jsp?model_id=MDL101539 http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?f=98 |
