I have been looking at getting one for a while and absent the ability to test one, I might just have to take the plunge to find out (no dealers near Boise that carry it).

I have a few questions....

Does this have the ability to attach to a tripod in its current state, or will I need the adapter? (I can't tell if the bracket in the plastic bag in this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/69688300@N00/2037176492) is the adapter or something else).

Also, I have an external VHF (unfortunately not UHF) receiver as well as (potentially) a Beachtek. Can the Beachtek mount between the camera (in this case my GL2) and the Multirig and still work with the tripod mount?

I'll PM this same info. Thanks.

Jack I thought that I would interject, I'm not the seller but have used the DVMulti Rig since it's release.
The tripod adapter is what's in the bag. It's a bracket that attaches to one of the grips, usually right one which folds underneath the unit when mounting on a tripod. And yes it's metal not plastic.

The units are made in Israel so you will not find any local dealers, even B&H that will carry it.

And you can use the DVMulit while still using a Beachtek, I do with my FX1 (modified with Z1U mic mount attached).
Simply attach your Beachtek like normal to the bottom of your camera. then attach the DVMulit Rig to the bottom of your Beachtek (via screw) and your set.
If you really wanted to you could atatch a QR assembly on the bottom of the DVMulti and remove quickly if needed.

But you will find that you will be using it all day long for every style of shooting. Handheld or tripod mounted.

All of the handles have 1/4 threads for any kind of mounting. But I still mount everything on my camera t leave DVMulti Rig free to switch to any position.

That was going to be my next follow (quick release related) up because I do have a (somewhat low end tripod) I will be using, but figured I am still going to need mounts for my VHF receiver(s) and potentially my AT shotgun and or an emergency light (gotta love wedding receptions). I don't know how the GL2 could mount a light, mic, and VHF receivers (unless I get one of those hot shoe mounted multi-mounts)

Jason your QR plate goes on the adapter that attaches to the right grip.
The right grip swings in underneath the rig and folds down, which then attaches to you tripod. Again look at the pictures on the website that shows as much.
You can mount accessories such as a light on one of the handles via hotshoe (using the hot shoe adapter). Or screw the light into the handle itself, as I said there are 1/4 threads on both ends of the handle.
You receiver could mount to the back shoulder plate of the DVMulti Rig.
Since you have a GL2, then I might recommend a setup like this.
Get a mini handle bracket of some kind and attach either your light or wireless to it. Something like this:
http://www.vfgadgets.com/HDVbracket.htm

Or you could use an adapter mount of some kind on your GL2's hot shoe. Like this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/126229-REG/Cool_Lux_MD3000_MD_3000_Light_and_Sound.html

There are even more examples of brackets and such if desired.

But you have many options available to you for setup either with the DVMulti Rig or mounting everything on camera.

You will find that you love flying this thing.

I am looking for an adapter that Century used to make (or similar). It was a Nikon to 2/3" (B4) bayonet adapter. It was the 1.4x device. Wondered if anyone had one they no longer needed or if any one had suggestions for an alternative. Thanks.

Hey Everyone,
I have 2 Sony VX2100s for sale. They come with 2 LENMAR 9hr batteries, battery chargers, and Canon WD-58 Wide angle lenses. I also have a beachtek DX4 audio adapter, and a Rode Videomic for sale. Lastly I have a Canon Elura 100 that I have been using as my capture deck.

VX2100 #1 $1500- has been in use with me for about 35 weddings. I don't know of its use before that. It has given me flawless service since then. I have used the Canon WD-58 lens on it at all times. The battery lasts me all day with absolutely no issue. This will come with a sony 3 watt light that runs off of the on board battery.
VX2100 #2 $1500 - has been in use with me since October '07 so it has seen about 5 weddings. It also been used with the Canon WD-58, and will come with the Lenmar 9hr battery as well.
I have boxes for both of these cameras, and some of the original accorries. (like I think there is a remote, etc. but I'm not sure about the component cables or the strap) Everything that is necessary is present. I have used these cameras with no issue, and have purchased Canon A1s so I will no longer be needing them.
I also have a Beachtek DX4, a Rode Videomic, and a Canon Elura 100 for sale.

I would like to get:
Beachtek - $75
Videomic - $75
Elura 100 - $175
Oh, and a Canon VL10i video light - $75
I would be willing to bundle these items as necessary and give a discount. Please e-mail me at bill@grantphotovideo.com or call 803-749-9168. I will accept paypal or cashier's check from registered members of DVinfo. Also buyer pays shipping.

I know you're looking to save money, but DJ's license explicitly states that it is non-transferable. That means used DJ products are no more legal to use than if you had burned a copy from a friend.

They're always running a special on the stuff at their website anyway.

actually, you can buy and re-sell as long as you haven't opened it, but that's not a very common situation. I'm familiar with an ex-DJ guy who was extremely trustworthy, and he had some volumes that he was selling, and he straightened me out on my attempt to straighten him out :).

Anyway, just thought I'd make that little minute distinction.

Typo in title: "Swivel JoinT"

I no longer need my A91 swivel joint, which allows the angle of your AKG Blue Line mic capsules to pivot in two ways up to 90 degress.

Retail is just over $300, I'm asking for $175.

It's still in great working condition with minor blemishes from normal wear. There is no original box. I've tested it with two separate SE300B & CK93 mic combinations (sorry, these are not for sale), and the sound is the exact same when comparing it with the mic without the A91 attached.
